About the Artist
Presli is an Idaho-based painter and muralist. Her paternal grandfather is a fulfilled sculptor, and she believes she inherited her artistic abilities from him. Her mother, an inventor and avid business woman, taught her that she can execute anything. Contrarily, her father is a quiet and observant physician. He showed her how to notice, be patient, and take opportunities as they arise.
Because of her familial background, she feels a deep sense of creativity and a desire to capture the fluttering ideas that God sprinkles over the earth.
In her private work, she explores the transformative and transcendent experience of motherhood and universality of womanhood. Much of her work is inspired by seasons of life that are often fleeting yet deeply formative: pregnancy, postpartum, early childhood, and the subtle emotional landscapes that accompany them. Symbolism plays a central role in her pieces, and though they are rooted in personal experience, they resonate on a universal level.
